West Central defeated Blue Ridge 48-20 on Friday, Aug. 28 at Farmer City (Blue Ridge). The Heat improved to 2-0, extending their winning streak to two games and climbing to first place in the Central West after scoring 80 points while allowing just 32 this season. Blue Ridge fell to 1-1 after their second loss, dropping to third in the Central East and seeing their points total rise to 44 against 62 allowed. The Heat come home next week to host Galva, while the Knights travel to Kankakee Hope the following Saturday.
