Blue Ridge defeats West Prairie 24-14 in season opener
Blue Ridge topped West Prairie 24-14 on Friday, Aug. 21, at Sciota (West Prairie) in a non-conference showdown. The Knights improved to 1-0 overall while the Cyclones fell to 0-1. Both teams opened with the same points-against total as the score, bringing Blue Ridge's points for to 24 and West Prairie's to 14 after one game. Blue Ridge entered the week coming off a 1-7 record last season, while West Prairie had been 1-8. The Knights head home next week to face West Central, and West Prairie travels to Cornell-Woodland on Aug. 28.
